Willem discovered an early talent for numbers, started trading, and quickly realised he loves executing well-thought-out strategies. Investment management was a natural fit. Today, he manages several AIP funds with a straightforward, no-nonsense philosophy: buy low and sell high.

It’s an approach that stood the test of time, most notably during the nine years he managed a hedge fund that delivered average returns of more than 16.5% per annum after fees. Willem believes clients choose AIP not only for diversification and solid returns, but for the people behind the portfolios.

Besides prioritising his clients’ success, family comes first. His downtime is spent staying active, travelling, or gathered around a braai with his people.
